About the Department
The Food Department at Redden Court School is a really engaging, thriving and vibrant place where staff and visitors often follow their nose due to the amazing smell making their way around the school. The Food department is very fortunate to be having a second brand new modern room being built, so by the time your child joins us we will have two good sized fully equipped rooms. We also have a small computer room available and the support of a full time technician. Our department is ever evolving and we embrace new ideas, food trends and are fully inclusive to all dietary requirements.Food is always a popular subject at both KS3 as well as both of the qualifications we offer at KS4, in which we have a long track record of achieving good results from our students.

As we try to reduce ingredients costs to one portion in class we highly encourage students to cook and continue to develop their skills and share what they have learnt at home. We always love to see evidence of students' creativity and enthusiasm if they have a passion for the subject and if they have tried something new.
