Head of Years

Mrs N Stiffel - Head of Year 7

As Head of Year 7 my role is to support students during this transition period and help them settle in to life at Redden Court.  It is an exciting time but can also cause much anxiety for both students and also their families.  I am here to help put both students and parents' minds at ease.

I see my role as celebrating their successes and helping them learn from their mistakes.  To help them work hard and achieve their best, whilst having fun and enjoying the opportunities Redden Court School has to offer.

I have high expectations for my year groups and my aim is to help prepare them for their future and to develop the life skills they need.  This will enable them to reach their full potential and succeed in the goals they set for themselves.

Mrs L Walker - Head of Year 8

As Head of Year 8 it is my aim to ensure the children are supported to achieve their best, both in the classroom and outside of the classroom.  I want to celebrate in their successes and support them through any challenges they may face.  Building positive partnerships with you as parents is of utmost importance and plays a vital role in ensuring successful outcomes for your children.  If you have any worries about your child, big or small, I want to work through those with you.  Equally I want to hear about your child's successes and celebrate them in school.

Mrs K Sawyer - Head of Year 9

As we continue our Journey together onto Year 9 the road ahead is a very important one.  Year 9 is the year the students will be making very important decisions about their future learning at Redden Court and really thinking about where and what career paths they may decide to go down.  At the end of the year our students will be choosing there options that they will then go on to study at GCSE level.

My role as your child’s Head of Year will be to help them make the right choices in life, supporting and guiding them through this year helping to shape them into the young adults they are becoming, achieving their full potential, enjoying school and doing what they love and are passionate about, whether that may be taking part in the school production, representing the school in sporting activities or simply coming into school everyday and learning.

My relationship with parents and carers are just as important as my relationships with your child and I hope that we can continue to work together to be the support system that is crucial in their education and teenage years and will always be on hand to discuss your worries and celebrate your child’s successes alongside you.

Mr L Spence - Head of Year 10

As the Head of Year 10 I want your child to feel supported as they embark on their penultimate year at Redden Court School.  Year 10 will pose new challenges as your child builds the foundations for their GCSE subjects.

I want to be an ever present member of staff acknowledging their successes and equipping our students with the necessary tools to prepare them for any hurdles they face.  I want our students to become responsible members of our school community, taking advantage of the opportunities offered to them here at Redden Court School.

With the efforts of our students, drive from our staff and support from yourselves as parents/ carers, we can work together to help your child to reach their potential and become well rounded individuals.

Mrs V Barclay - Head of Year 11

It is a pleasure to be a Head of Year at Redden Court School and I am lucky enough to have had the experience of doing this throughout each year group and now Year 11.

Year 11 is a critical year for our students as they set the foundation for their futures.  My aim is to ensure that they all reach their potential and that they have the same high ambitions that I have for them.  Every staff member is committed to helping our students succeed and this can be seen by the high number of enhancement sessions we hold and the endless interventions that take place.

I endeavour to support our students and ensure that they have all the tools and skills needed to help them reach their potential and personal goals.  In addition to this we will make sure that our Year 11s receive the necessary career support and guidance when thinking about post 16 options.

We know it can also be an overwhelming time so we will ensure any additional advice and support is offered if needed.
