Hello and welcome to Maths at Redden Court School. We have 10 fully qualified Outstanding Maths teachers ready to help you progress. We have enjoyed consistent success in Maths at Redden Court in recent years and are considered to be one of the most effective teams in Havering. Our student’s results outperform national averages and place us in the top 20 percent of school nationally for Maths.

Upon arrival in year 7, students are assessed and set by ability. They then follow an appropriately challenging programme of study which covers the national curriculum areas of

Students will have three Maths lessons each week lasting one hour. We strive to ensure wherever possible that connections are made to the real world. Whilst also attempting to instil an enjoyment and love of Mathematics in its purest form. All of our classrooms have electronic whiteboards and teachers use a variety of engaging resources in their lessons.

- Our annual trip to Bletchley Park to explore codebreaking.
- Participation in the individual and the team challenges organised by the UK Mathematics Trust.
- a weekly Puzzle and chess club,
- House competitions throughout the year
- And links with The Advanced Mathematics support programme which encourages the study of Maths at a higher level.
